Philanthropist and author Sudha Murty visited the new Parliament building on Friday morning and was ecstatic about how beautiful it was. It left her speechless as she imbibed everything round her as a slice of Indian culture and history. “It is so beautiful…No words to describe it. I wanted to see this for a long time. It was a dream come true today. It is beautiful…It’s art, culture, Indian history - everything is beautiful…,” she told the media outside Parliament.

Lauding the newly-constructed Parliament building, Murty said that her visit to the seat of power was a dream come true for her and that she had meant to pay a visit for a long time. The Winter Session of Parliament began on December 4, earlier this week. During the Question Hour on the 4th and 5th day of the Winter Session of Parliament, Members of Parliament in both houses raised several important questions concerning public interest schemes.
