Vizag will be developed on par with Hyderabad, says Andhra CM Naidu

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minster N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday said that Vizag, the largest city in the truncated state, will be developed on the lines of Hyderabad.

AP[/caption] Andhra Pradesh Chief Minster N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday said that Vizag, the largest city in the truncated state, will be developed on the lines of Hyderabad. Naidu, who arrived from Vijayawada after the Collectors’ Conference, said that emphasis will be laid on developing Tourism, Information Technology and Film industry in the district. It will be developed on par with Hyderabad, he said. The Chief Minister is on a two-day whirlwind tour of rural areas here and will be meeting farmers, members of Self Help Groups, NREGS beneficiaries, and other sections at about a dozen venues from Anakapalli to Nakkpalli apprising people about government programmes including the loan waiver scheme and also seeking their opinion and views on it. During the tour, he will visiting Anakapalli, Tummapala, Chodavaram, Gajapathinagaram and Chodavaram areas. In the evening, the Chief Minister will interact with scientists and students of Regional Agricultural Research Station at Anakapalli and hold review meetings with district officials. Earlier, after a brief halt at the airport he offered prayers at goddess Nookalamma temple at Anakapalli. PTI
