Vinod Mehta, will be relinquishing the role as editor-in-chief of Outlook, Firstpost understands from a source in their organisation. Krishna Prasad, currently editor of Outlook, will take on the role of editor-in-chief. Mehta has been editor-in-chief of Outlook since the launch of the magazine in October 1995.  However, it is understood that Mehta would continue to play an advisory role in the magazine and will remain a director on the board of Outlook Publishing. Firstpost spoke to Mr. Mehta’s office on the telephone repeatedly for a confirmation, but he was unavailable. In January, Maheshwari Peri, publisher of Outlook, had resigned, with Indranil Roy stepping into his shoes. It was then stated that Peri would continue till March 2012, after which he would take on a consulting role. Firstpost had spoken at length with ’the most sacked editor’, Mehta, on Media and the role of television in journalism.

Anant Rangaswami was, until recently, the editor of Campaign India magazine, of which Anant was also the founding editor. Campaign India is now arguably India's most respected publication in the advertising and media space. Anant has over 20 years experience in media and advertising. He began in Madras, for STAR TV, moving on as Regional Manager, South for Sony’s SET and finally as Chief Manager at BCCL’s Times Television and Times FM. He then moved to advertising, rising to the post of Associate Vice President at TBWA India. Anant then made the leap into journalism, taking over as editor of what is now Campaign India's competitive publication, Impact.
