Vijay Mallya arrested in London; here is a timeline of liquor baron's fall from grace

India's billionaire businessman and the King of Good times, Vijay Mallya, who fled to UK in March last year after failing to pay off dues worth thousands of crores to bank in Kingfisher Airlines case, was finally arrested in London (UK) today.

The beleaguered liquor baron is likely to be presented before Westminster court in London.

Mallya has been on the run after he failed to repay bank loans worth Rs 9,000 crore taken on behalf of the now defunct Kingfisher Airlines. Multiple courts in India have issued warrants against Mallya in various cases over the past one year.
