 "Video: Six dead, several injured in Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu after major landslide")
At least six people were killed, including three women, in India’s northern Himalayan state of Himachal Pradesh on Sunday (March 28) following a landslide. The incident occurred in the Kullu region at around 5 pm IST near the PWD road opposite Gurdwara Manikaran Sahib. According to reports, several trees fell and crushed people sitting along the roadside.
As per reports, a massive storm earlier hit the area, causing the trees to topple onto the victims.

Local authorities reported several people injured, who were rushed to Jari Hospital for further medical treatment.
Among the dead are a roadside hawker, a car rider and three tourists, reported local media. The number of injured people is estimated to be five.
Additional District Magistrate of Kullu, Ashwani Kumar, earlier confirmed to the media that at least six people have died in the incident.
“Six people died, and five were injured after trees were uprooted near Manikaran Gurudwara parking in Kullu. Police and rescue teams of the district administration have shifted five injured to the local community hospital at Jari,” Kumar was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

View AllThe local SHO is reported to be at the site, and a team of the fire department was also dispatched towards the incident site.
Kullu MLA Sunder Singh Thakur told ANI,“This incident took place near Manikaran Gurudwara where a tree uprooted… Bodies are being brought to the hospital, and the four injured are also being brought here…A police team and the administration are present at the spot.”
Earlier this month, heavy rains and snowfall disrupted life in Himachal Pradesh, triggering landslides, road blockages, and damage to vehicles due to debris carried by gushing waters in Kullu.
A massive landslide at Rokaru in Kangra district, caused by incessant rains and cloudbursts, damaged several vehicles and endangered 12 houses, according to PTI.
