 "Budaun double murder: Barber enters contractor's home, kills his two minor sons, says 'completed my work'")
In Uttar Pradesh’s Budaun, a 22-year-old local barber identified as Mohd Sajid barged into the house of his neighbour contractor Vinod around 8 pm on Tuesday and cut the throat of the latter’s two minor sons with an axe and injured a third one.
The incident reported in Baba Colony in Budaun led to tension in the region.
Sajid, a salon owner and the accused in the crime was killed in an encounter with the police within two hours of the incident.

Police said, Sajid, who owns a salon situated near the home of the contractor, entered Singh’s house and allegedly took his sons to the terrace.
Vinod, the contractor was reportedly at the market when the accused entered his house.
According to the FIR, Sajid entered the house and told Singh’s wife, who runs a beauty parlour, that he wanted money as his wife was about to deliver a child.
“When she went inside to take money, Sajid said that he was feeling unwell and wanted to go for a walk on the terrace and took my sons (deceased) with him. He also called his brother Javed to the terrace. When my wife returned, she saw Sajid and Javed with a knife in their hands. Sajid also tried to attack my surviving son and he sustained injuries. Both were running away and Sajid told my wife that today he had completed his work,” the FIR read.
Both the brothers Ayush, (12), Ahaan alias Honey (8) were playing with their third brother Yuvraj (10) when Sajid attacked them.

Ayush and Ahaan died in the attack, while Yuvraj was rushed to a hospital with grievous wounds, police said.
Yuvraj, who was injured in the incident, managed to escape and alerted the rest of the family, who then raised an alarm, but Sajid fled from the area.
“Police teams swung into action when they got to know that the accused had escaped,” SSP Budaun said.
Surviving brother recalls incident
Yuvraj, an eyewitness to the crime, said, “The man from salon had come here. He took my brothers upstairs, I don’t know why he killed them. He tried to attack me too, but I pushed away his knife, pushed him away and ran down. I suffered injuries in my hand and head…Two people (accused) had come here…”

Possible cause of murder in Budaun
The reason for the murder of two minor brothers in Budaun remains unknown. But Singh claims that there were two people involved in the killing of his sons and they are still unaware as to why this incident happened.
Meanwhile, in the FIR, the family said the accused had demanded Rs 5,000 from the father of the deceased children.
“In the FIR, the family of the deceased children has also named the brother, Javed of the accused. Teams are working to find him and he will be arrested soon," SSP Badaun said.

No communal angle
District Magistrate Manoj Kumar said: “The incident took place due to personal enmity, and there is no communal angle to it. We are monitoring the situation, and our social media cell is also monitoring it.”
Accused barber gunned down
Police said after being informed about the crime, they began to chase Sajid who was seen in the forest of Shekhupur. “When our SOG and police station team reached there, he fired at them. In the retaliatory firing he received a bullet wound and died,” PTI quoted IG Bareilly range RK Singh as saying.
As per reports, Sajid was gunned down around 10 pm in the Shekupur area about 7 kms from the victims’ house.
Unrest in Budaun
The salon in Baba Colony, owned by accused Sajid, was set on fire by locals soon after the crime.
The angry locals demanded the immediate arrest of the accused, who was later killed in an encounter.
After the killings led to a ruckus in the area, the Senior Superintendent of Police ordered the deployment of security there to bring the crowd under control.
