Media reports say a passenger train has derailed in Uttar Pradesh, killing six people and injuring at least a dozen others.
The reports say that three coaches of the train jumped the tracks early Friday near Bachhrawan village in Uttar Pradesh.
According to PTI the train, the Janata Express, derailed near Rae Bareli.
Villagers, police and railway security guards were trying to rescue passengers trapped in the crashed coaches.
The cause of the derailment was not immediately known.
