Deoria: A class 9 student fell to her death from the third floor of a school building in Deoria, police said on Tuesday, as her father alleged that she had been pushed. Acting on her father’s complaint that his daughter Neetu Chauhan could not have committed suicide but was pushed, police has registered a case against unknown persons, Superintendent of police (Deoria) Rajiv Malhotra said. The 15-year-old had reportedly gone to the toilet on the third floor of the school. She was taken to a local hospital, which referred her to Gorakhpur but succumbed to her injuries on the way, the official said. According to the post-mortem report, the girl suffered shock and hemorrhage due to internal injuries, he added. Police is investigating the case for further details.
