An 18-year-old girl was burnt to death by unindentified goons in Uttar Pradesh's Unnao district, reports have said. According to ANI, the girl was on her way to a nearby market on her bicycle in Bara Sagwar area. The bicycle was recovered from the spot where the incident took place.

The victim's body has been sent for postmortem. CNN-News18 further reported that the police had not ruled out the possibility of rape. According to NDTV, the victim's body was recovered by the side of a field outside her village with 100 percent burn injuries. A case of murder has been registered, a senior official told NDTV.
