The UGC-NET exam is conducted for testing the eligibility of candidates for the positions of assistant professor or for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). The exam will be conducted in 84 subjects at the selected 90 NET examination cities across India. The candidates who crack the exam will be eligible for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and can pursue research in the main subject of their post-graduation degree or in any other related subject.
