LeT terrorists, Naved and Noman, both Pakistanis, attacked a Border Security Force bus in Udhampur district in Jammu and Kashmir state on 5 August, killing two troopers and injuring 11 others.

Noman was killed on the spot while Naved had escaped to a nearby village in Udhampur district where villagers overpowered him and handed him over to the police.

On sustained custodial interrogation of Naved, NIA arrested five Kashmiris who had facilitated the attack by carrying the two terrorists and their weapons from Kulgam district in Kashmir to Udhampur in Jammu in a fruit truck.
