In the Pahalgam attack, terrorists killed at least 26 people, most of whom were tourists. The Resistance Front (TRF) has claimed responsibility for the attack. The group is a cover that Lashkar-e-Taiba uses to portray its terrorism movement inside Kashmir as a homegrown movement instead of a Pakistan-sponsored movement.

The group of terrorists that carried out the Pahalgam attack is believed to be a mix of foreigners and locals. They first fired indiscriminately and singled out non-Muslims and shot them. A search has been launched for them. Last evening, reports said that more than 1,500 people had been detained in Kashmir for questioning in connection with the attack.
