Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday said two hybrid terrorists were arrested during a joint operation with security forces in the Moominabad area of Sopore.
According to police, the arrests took place when two individuals approaching from Fruit Mandi Sopore toward Ahat Baba Crossing tried to flee after spotting security personnel. The joint team immediately chased and detained them on the spot.
In a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter), police identified the arrested men as Shabir Najar and Shabir Mir.
“2 hybrid #terrorists Shabir Najar & Shabir Mir arrested during a joint operation launched by Police and SFs in Moominabad #Sopore. Incriminating materials, arms & ammunition recovered. Investigation going on,” Kasjmir Zone Police posted on X.
