Two more houses used by blast suspect found in Burdwan

Burdwan: Two more houses used by the Burdwan blast suspect have been found at a walking distance from the Khagragarh house where the 2 October explosion took place. Superintendent of Police S M H Mirza said the two houses at Baburbagh and Badshahi Road respectively were traced last night on the basis of mobile tower location. PTI[/caption] The investigators suspect that Kauser, whom the CID is looking for in connection with the Burdwan blast in which two suspected militants were killed and another person was injured, had resided in one of the houses. Both the houses are at a stone’s throw from the Khagragarh residence. When the investigators reached the houses, they found the doors locked from the outside although lights and fans were on giving the impression that the occupants had left in a hurry, the SP said. The CID had released Kauser’s sketch on 5 October and sent it to all the police stations of Burdwan and nearby districts and railway stations to nab him. Kausar is suspected to be a regular at the house in Khagragarh where the blast took place. The investigators are trying to find where the explosives recovered from the Khagragarh house were supposed to be sent. Four persons, including two women, have been arrested in connection with the blast. Sheikh Hakim alias Hasan Saheb from Lalgola in Murshidabad district, who was injured in the blast, was arrested yesterday. Hafez Mollah alias Hasan, Rajira Bibi alias Rumi, widow of the suspected terriost Shakil Ahmed who died in the blast and Amina Bibi, Hasan Saheb’s wife, were also arrested. State Director General of Police G J M Rajasekhar Reddy had said yesterday that a detailed report was being sent to the Centre by West Bengal government in connection with the blast. PTI
