Twitter abuzz with joy after Delhi rapists get death penalty

Twitter was abuzz with reactions after the quantum of sentence was announced in the 16 December Delhi gangrape case. The verdict in the case was highly anticipated, though not very surprising, given that they were found guilty of all charges brought against them. AFP[/caption] The guilty were given maximum punishment for all the sections they were charged under and when the news reached the protesters outside court they broke into applause. On Twitter, the reactions were no less  jubilant. From staid comments of relief that ‘justice had been served’ to cries of ’thank god’, here are some Twitter reactions to the verdict:
