Islamabad: At least three militants were killed on Friday in firing between security personnel and rebels in Pakistan’s Khyber Agency. AFP.[/caption] Security officials tried to stop a “suspicious vehicle” in Shlobar area of Khyber Agency, but when it did not stop, they opened fire at it, Dawn online reported citing its sources. The sources said two security personnel were among three people injured in the exchange of fire. Khyber is part of Pakistan’s semi-autonomous tribal belt near the Afghanistan border. The Taliban and other militants groups, who stage attacks in both the countries, are known to have strongholds in the region. IANS
