Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Police identified three militants believed to be involved in the deadly attack on an Army convoy in Hyderpora area of the city that left eight soldiers dead and over a dozen others injured. On 24 June, Hizbul Mujahideen militants targeted an Army convoy at Hyderpora bypass, killing eight soldiers and injuring 16 others. Mujtaba said police has got some evidence and leads about the involvement of these militants in the incident. “That is why we have circulated these posters in the area,” he said. The top cop said while two of the militants were local Kashmiris hailing from Awantipora in Pulwama district and Panthachowk in Srinagar, the third militant was a Pakistani national. According to the poster, the militants have been identified as Irshad Ahmad Ganaie, Sajad Ahmad Bhat (both locals) and Qasim. PTI
