Three students of the Jawaharlal Nehru University were killed when their motorcycle hit a divider and then rammed into a tree on the campus, police said today. The deceased, all in their mid-twenties, have been identified as Ravi Singh Chaudhary and Ravi Shankar Gupta, (Residents of Gaya, Bihar) and Santosh, from Ranchi, Jharkhand. The accident took place on the campus premises[/caption] All of them were studying MA (Korean language) at the University. The incident took place at 2:30 am. “The student who was riding the bike lost control over it which first hit a divider of the road and then a tree. All three were seriously injured in the incident. One of them was rushed to AIIMS Trauma Centre and the other two to Safdarjung Hospital by the police,” a police official said. Doctors said that one of the students had died on the spot while the other two succumbed to their injuries during treatment. Police has registered a case under at Vasant Kunj North police station and further investigations are on. PTI
