The Indian Obama: 21-yr-old and too lazy for a one-min pic

Did you know that US President Barack Obama is also a 21-year-old resident of Nalgonda in Andhra Pradesh? Don’t believe? Well, that’s what the records of a local telecom operator say. According to a Times of India report, a Nalgonda resident by the name of M Prasad secured a cellphone connection with the number 9177523297 by passing off the photograph of the US President as his. [caption id=“attachment_294439” align=“alignleft” width=“380” caption=“Screengrab of the TOI report.”] ![](https://images.firstpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/toiObama.jpg "toiObama") [/caption] The local police reported the matter to their seniors as soon as they learnt of it. The phone connection has  since been disconnected. Prasad had given a photocopy of his driving licence as proof of identity. But even the photo on the licence is completely blurred. Cops suspect that the documents submitted by Prasad at the Regional Transport Authority’s office at Nalgonda to procure his driving licence too could be fake. But how did such a goof-up occur? It’s not unusual to find people selling SIM cards on the roads in India and providing connections at a cheaper rate. And that is done without verifying the genuineness of the documents submitted as proofs of identity and residence. Read the TOI story here.
