Teenage boy admitted for liposuction, dies of anesthesia overdose

Bangalore: In a shocking incident, a sixteen-year-old boy who was admitted to a Bangalore hospital for liposuction, suffered a cardiac arrest and died. According to Deccan Herald, the parents of the boy, who had taken him for the operation to the Panacea Hospital, said that the hospital administered an overdose of anesthesia on him which resulted in his death. AFP.[/caption] The 16-year-old who weighed around 85 kilograms and was accompanied by his parents to the Panacea Hospital. While the parents allege that the boy suffered a cardiac arrest after he was administered anesthesia, the doctors at the hospital have refuted the charge and said that he suffered a heart attack even before the surgery procedures began. According to the doctors, the victim Abhishek, was given an injection that was supposed to reduce bleeding during the surgery, which is when he suffered a cardiac arrest.
