Sahara Chief Subrata Roy lodged in Tihar's Jail No 3

New Delhi: Sahara chief Subrata Roy, remanded in judicial custody till 11 March by the Supreme Court on Tuesday, will be kept in Jail No.3 of Delhi’s Tihar Jail. AFP[/caption] “Roy arrived at Tihar at about 8 pm and was sent for medical examination to the Tihar hospital. He will be lodged in Jail No 3,” said an official of Tihar jail – south Asia’s largest prison. “His medical condition is normal,” the official added. “He would be given tea and biscuits in the morning and treated like a normal jailer,” said another official. The Supreme Court on Tuesday sent Roy and two directors of his company – Ashok Roy Choudhary and Ravi Shankar Dubey – to judicial custody till they present a concrete proposal to return the balance of Rs.19,000 crore they had collected from investors through optionally fully-convertible debentures.
