New Delhi: Congress president Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi condemned the attack by Maoists in Chhattisgarh, which resulted in the deaths of CRPF soldiers and hoped that the guilty will be brought to book at the earliest. PTI[/caption] They also extended their condolences to the bereaved families. “Congress president Sonia Gandhi has expressed deep anguish and condolences over the martyrdom of CRPF jawans in a landmine blast in Dantewada, Chhattisgarh,” a statement released by the office of Sonia Gandhi read. “Condemning the mindless violence perpetrated by the Left Wing Extremists, she hoped that the guilty are brought to book at the earliest,” it said. Rahul Gandhi tweeted: “My heartfelt condolences to the families of the brave CRPF jawans martyred in the attack in Dantewada, Chhattisgarh. I salute their courage.” Seven CRPF men were killed today in a landmine blast carried out by Naxals in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh.
