Kochi: The Kerala High Court today sought  explanation on the “unusual” 30 days’ remand of Tenny Joppen, former private secretary of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, following his arrest in connection with the solar case. The scam pertains to alleged fraudulent deals by a firm run by a Saritha Nair and her friend Biju Radhakrishnan by luring clients for solar panel installation scheme. Joppen was arrested on June 28 based on a petition of businessman Sreedharan Nair, alleging that he had been duped of a huge sum by Nair and Radhakrishnan promising a plant installation deal with Joppen acting as middleman.
