Coimbatore: Saritha S Nair, an accused in solar scam in Kerala, was today produced before a judicial magistrate court in connection with the alleged cheating of two industrialists to set up windmills some five years ago. PTI[/caption] Saritha, lodged in Pathanamthitta Jail in Kerala, was brought on transit warrant and produced before the Magistrate Karthikeyan, who adjourned the case to December 27. The prosecution case was that two industrialists had lodged complaints with Vadavalli station in the city that Saritha, along with Biju Radhakrishnan, another accused in the solar scam, and R C Ravindran, through their firm ITMS, had promised of helping them to set up windmills in the district. The firm had taken about Rs eight lakh from a trust and Rs 26 lakh from one Thiagarajan to set up windmills. Meanwhile, she was arrested and lodged in jail in Pathanamthitta in connection with the solar scam in Kerala. The case against Saritha and Biju Radhakrishnan in Kerala was that they formed a fraudulent solar energy company Team Solar – and allegedly collected huge amounts from investors, promising to make them business partners or offering to install alternate sources of energy and failed to deliver the goods.
