Jammu: A Srinagar-bound IndiGo plane from Delhi, with 150 passengers and six crew members, developed a problem in one of its engines while landing at Jammu airport today, giving anxious moments to all those on board. The Airbus 320 aircraft was landing at the Jammu airport for a halt this morning when the pilot experienced some technical problem in one of its engines.[caption id=“attachment_342504” align=“alignleft” width=“380” caption=“Tense time for passengers. Reuters”]  [/caption] Sources said the ground staff detected plumes of smoke in one of the engines and alerted the pilots. “Since the aircraft had already landed, it was immediately brought to a halt safely and all the passengers were evacuated safely,” an IndiGo spokesperson said. All the passengers were brought to the terminal building and provided lunch. The flight, which was originally scheduled to leave for Srinagar at 9.45am, will return to New Delhi instead. “Technicians were brought from Delhi for inspection and rectification of the problem,” the spokesperson said.
