Six crew members of an Air India flight were injured on Sunday afternoon when the captain of the flight reportedly forgot to inform them that the plane was descending to land.

According to CNN-IBN, flight AI 922 from Riyadh to Mumbai was close to touch down. Just before the flight was about to land, the aircraft hit turbulence and dropped 100 feet.

The crew members were checking if all the passengers had fastened their seat belts and if the cabins secure when the flight was hit by turbulence.

While the captain of the flight has to direct cabin crew to go to their landing stations or warn them of a turbulence, neither of it was done.

The report suggests that the crew were caught off guard when turbulence hit and fell on the ground sustaining injuries.

According to CNN-IBN, which has the personal injury records of the crew, the incident took place at around 1.30 pm, right before landing time. The report also shows that the injuries sustained by the crew were serious.
