Singing a different tune: Abhijeet lands in another row over abusive Twitter comments
On Sunday, singer Abhijeet has been caught in the eye of a storm again over a series of tweets spewing religious venom.

Singer Abhijeet has frequently been in the news in recent times — for reasons that are entirely non-musical. On Sunday, the singer was caught in the eye of a storm again over a series of tweets spewing religious venom.
The Mumbai police are looking into the tweets put out by Abhijeet, who commented on the murder of Infosys software S Swathi, a report by The Indian Express said. He claimed that the murder was a case of 'love jihad.'
Subsequently, Abhijeet posted a number of abusive tweets against journalist Swati Chaturvedi, after which the latter complained to the Mumbai police.
Guys just got a call from @MumbaiPolice "assuring strong action"! Thank you all. @RifatJawaid @Dev_Fadnavis

Clearly, it seems the yesteryear singer has found a new profession in rabble-rousing. For all we know, an appointment to head a high-profile institution may be on the cards for him.
