Are you serious to Suit Boot Ji: The many hilarious missteps of Robert Vadra
Robert Vadra behaves eccentrically, and not for the first time.
Robert Vadra, the famous son-in-law of the Gandhi family, has over the years built a reputation for himself. His latest contribution to the headlines may be his Facebook post on the Haryana government probing his land deals in the state but he is now the stuff of legend on social media.
Much of it has to do with the infamous land deal but his eccentric style and mannerism has also contributed significantly.
In a recent one, he posted this picture of his on Facebook:
This, after his brother in-law Rahul Gandhi has been running around using 'suit-boot' as a catch phrase against the Modi government and a BJP leader hit back saying that the only person in a suit and boot was the Congress Vice President's brother-in-law.
But this doesn't really come as a surprise from Vadra, from slamming reporters to calling the country a banana republic, Vadra has done it all.
In 2012, Indian Against Corruption (IAC), a then newly formed movement (yes, the time when Anna Hazare, Kiran Bedi, Prashant Bhushan and Arvind Kejriwal were all still friends), alleged that the son-in-law of the country's then ruling party chief Sonia Gandhi had indulged in real-estate corruption.
In a reply, Vadra put up a Facebook status saying: "Mango people in banana republic."
In 2014, when the Congress were fighting for survival in the elections and tensions were high on polling day, Vadra stepped out donning pink pants paired with a skinny white tee and a navy blazer.
Not sure how his mother-in-law felt about that.
Then in 2014, Vadra lost his cool and angrily pushed the microphone of an ANI reporter away when he was quizzed about his controversial land deals in Haryana.
The 4X 'Are you serious?', followed by 'Are you nuts?' and 'What's wrong with you?' are the stuff of social media legend.
Goa Congress spokesperson Durgadas Kamat later apologized (since no one else in Congress would) for Vadra's behaviour on Twitter, with the hash-tag #YesWeAreSerious. Seriously?
I apologies for whatever has happened . Let's put matter to the rest .Cannot see parties image going for a Toss. #YesWeAreSerious
