report in Hindustan Times said that none of the six firms have ever filed annual returns or balance sheets. Lifeline Agrotech, Greenwave Agro, Rightline Agriculture, Future Infra Agro, Best Seasons Agro and Prime Time Agro are the private limited companies which are being shut down. These agro-processing firms were established between June and August 2012. “All six companies are now listed by the ministry of corporate affairs as ‘having status under the process of being struck off.’ When that process is complete they will legally cease to exist,” said the report. The report added that company records state that Vadra is the managing director and promoter of the companies. Moreover, Amit Mehta is also named as a director and promoter of the companies along with Vadra. Amit Mehta is also a director of the real-estate corporation DLF. The DLF land dealings undertaken by Vadra and Mehta in Haryana had earlier been alleged to be corrupt with respect to acquisition of clearances. Neither Vadra nor his spokesperson Manoj Arora responded to any queries made by Hindustan Times.
