The Rajya Sabha suspended 34 Opposition MPs on Monday, minutes after Lok Sabha expelled 33 Opposition lawmakers including Congress leader in the House Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, DMK MPs T R Baalu and Dayanidhi Maran, and TMC’s Saugata Roy for disrupting the proceedings. The MPs suspended from Rajya Sabha include Congress’ Jairam Ramesh, Randeep Surjewala and KC Venugopal. The lawmakers have been suspended for the remainder of the Winter Session of the Parliament, said Rajya Sabha chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar.
