Rajasthan: Narendra Modi's estranged wife Jashodaben injured in accident on Kota-Chittorgarh highway; 1 reported dead

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s estranged wife Jashodaben was reportedly injured in a road accident in Rajasthan. Describing it as a “narrow escape”, a report in  The Indian Express confirmed that a relative, Vasantbhai Modi, died in the accident. Jayendra, the driver, also sustained injuries, officials told NDTV. Jashodaben was rushed to a medical facility in Chiitorgarh, reports said. [caption id=“attachment_4339671” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] File image of Jashodaben. PTI[/caption] Jashodaben was travelling with her family from Atru in Baran to Gujarat’s Unjha with her family members and escaped with minor injuries. Suresh Khatik, the sub divisional magistrate of Chittorgarh told NDTV, “Jasodaben is okay. She’s (in) comfort. She is getting primary health check-up done.” According to the NDTV report, the accident took place 55-kilometre from Chittorgarh on the Kota-Chittor highway.
