Prosecutor in Salman Khan hit-and-run case appointed as special public prosecutor in hooch case

Mumbai: Advocate Pradeep Gharat, the prosecutor in the hit-and-run case involving actor Salman Khan, has been appointed as the special public prosecutor in the Malwani hooch tragedy case in Mumbai. Firstpost[/caption] The hooch tragedy, which unfolded in the city earlier this month, has claimed 102 lives till now. Gharat confirmed the development while talking to PTI. Meanwhile, a local court today remanded two women bootleggers arrested in the case, Mamta Rathod and Agnes Gracy, to judicial custody. So far, eight persons have been arrested in the case. PTI
