Policeman killed, two injured after gunbattle with terrorists in Kashmir's Baramulla district

One police official was killed and two others injured after terrorists engaged security forces carrying out search operations in a fierce gunbattle in the Hardushoora area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, according to reports. Naresh Sharma/ Firstpost[/caption] “One policeman has been martyred while a civilian has been injured in the operation so far,” a police official said. Army sources said one soldier was also injured in the operation. The injured jawan, who received a bullet in the thigh, has been evacuated to Army’s 92 Base Hospital. An Ibnlive report  said that the army had launched search operations in the Sultanpora village after receiving a specific tip-off but were attacked by terrorists who were hiding in a house. The army personnel responded fired back and a fierce gunbattle in underway currently, according to the report. A Hindustan Times report said that at least two militants are suspected to be holed up in the house while other reports said that at least three militants may be present.
