The police today arrested the warden of a hostel at the Vishvabharati University Patha Bhavan, who is accused of forcing a student to drink urine, as well as the parents of the child for threatening the warden. [caption id=“attachment_372035” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]  Reuters[/caption] The class V student had reportedly been forced to consume urine on Saturday evening by the warden of the hostel in which she was staying. After the girl told her mother about the ordeal, her parents and several other people stormed the hostel premises and allegedly manhandled the warden, Uma Poddar. Following this incident, the warden of the Karabi Hostel had lodhed a complaint against the girl’s parents. The girl’s mother had also lodged a complaint against Poddar with the police. Acting on the cross complaints, the police arrested both the parents of the child as well as the the warden of the hostel.
Acting on cross complaints filed by the victim’s parents and the hostel warden the police has arrested both parties.
