 "'...Poaching is his main agenda': Telangana Congress leader on buses stationed in Hyderabad to ferry MLAs")
As the early trends gave the Congress a big lead in Telangana, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee Vice President Kiran Kumar Chamala on Sunday said that the party had taken some measures to ferry their MLAs to undisclosed location to prevent K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) from poaching their leaders. However, he added that seeing the trends it’s evident that the Congress is winning big and the activity of ferrying the MLAs won’t be required.

Speaking to ANI news agency, Chamala said, “You all know KCR style of functioning, poaching is his main agenda. So we have taken some measures, but after seeing the result today, the trends and everything. Such activity is not needed because at least we will have 80 plus seats…Everything is fine. We are very happy today…”
According to News 18, as of 11 am, the Congress was leading in 61 out of the 119 seats in Telangana for the votes polled in the November 30 Assembly elections.
The trends showed the national party was racing ahead of the incumbent BRS, which was leading in 43 seats. At the start of counting at 8 am, postal ballots were first taken up. BJP was ahead in 8 and others in 4 seats, respectively. The simple majority mark to form government in the southern state is 60 seats. K Chandrasekhar Rao-led Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) has been in power since 2014, when Telangana was granted statehood and won the 2018 elections as well and is hopeful of a hattrick. The Congress had mounted a spirited election campaign with a view to unseat the near decade-old incumbent, even as the BJP also launched a no holds-barred attack against the ruling dispensation.
