Reuters[/caption] Referring to Modi’s 15 August speech, Foreign Office spokesperson Nafees Zakariya said: “Balochistan is a crucial part of Pakistan.” He added: “Pakistani people are victim of Indian intelligence agencies’ subversive activities.” Referring to the arrest of alleged Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadav in Balochistan, the spokesperson said: “Kulbhushan and his network was involved in spreading terrorism and destabilising activities in Karachi and Balochistan.” Modi sparked controversy when in his Independence Day speech he said that Pakistan was a supporter of “terrorism” and that the people of Balochistan, Gilgit and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir had thanked him in the past few days for support.
