Eager to serve my family for 3rd time in Kashi: PM Modi after BJP announces his nomination from Varanasi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that he looks forward to serving his family members in Kashi for the third time after BJP released the first list of 195 Lok Sabha candidates on Saturday.

“I am very eager to serve my family members for the third time in Baba Vishwanath’s city Kashi. Many thanks to the leadership of BJP. Along with this, I salute the crores of selfless workers of the party for continuously reposing faith in me!” Modi said on X, formerly Twitter.

Recalling the first time he contested from Varanasi, Modi said, “In 2014, I went to Kashi with a resolve to fulfill people’s dreams and empower the poorest of the poor. In the last 10 years, we have made rapid progress in different sectors to rejuvenate Kashi. I will leave no stone unturned in this all-round effort for development.”

The leader also congratulated his colleagues for being nominated in various Lok Sabha seats.

Modi said, “Our Party has announced candidates for some of the seats and will be announcing the rest in the coming days. I congratulate all those who have been nominated as our Party’s candidates and wish them the very best.”

I am sure that the 140 crore people of India will bless us yet again and give us even more strength in fulfilling their aspirations and creating a Viksit Bharat,” he added.

The announcement of the list, which includes 34 Union Ministers and Ministers of State(MoS) and two former Chief Ministers, comes after the saffron party held a meeting of BJP’s Central Election Committee (CEC) chaired by PM Modi.

While announcing the list, BJP general secretary Vinod Tawde said that the first list includes 28 women candidates, 47 youths, 27 Scheduled Caste, 18 Scheduled Tribe and 57 OBC candidates.
