“Thank you, my friend, President Trump. I’ve covered a wide range of topics, including my life journey, India’s civilisational outlook, global issues, and more,” PM Modi wrote on Truth Social.

During a three-hour interaction on Sunday, PM Modi expressed that he and President Trump share a strong connection, as both prioritise their countries first. He affirmed that their mutual trust remains intact, even during Biden’s presidency when Trump was out of office.

When asked what he appreciates about President Trump, PM Modi recalled a moment from Trump’s first term when he set aside security protocol to fulfill PM Modi’s request for a lap around the stadium at the ‘Howdy Modi’ event in Houston.

“I was touched by his courage and trust in me,” PM Modi said, noting that Trump demonstrated similar bravery after the assassination attempt on him during his presidential campaign.

PM Modi highlighted that while Trump embraces an “America First” philosophy, he believes in “nation first” or “India first,” which fosters their connection.

Without addressing specific trade issues between the two countries, PM Modi commented on his recent meetings with US officials, indicating that Trump appears more prepared and has assembled a strong team for his second term.
