Finance Minister Arun Jaitley also lauded the efforts of scientists and engineers in successful test-firing of Agni-V, a nuclear-capable missile. “Congrats! to the team of scientists and engineers for successfully test firing of Agni-V, the nuclear capable missile and making India proud,” Jaitley tweeted. India successfully test-fired the canister version of its indigenously developed, intercontinental surface-to-surface nuclear capable ballistic missile ‘Agni-V’, which has a strike range of over 5000 kms and can carry a nuclear warhead of over one tonne, from Wheeler’s Island off Odisha coast.
