Peruvian arrested with 1.3 kg of cocaine worth Rs 65 cr at Delhi airport

New Delhi: A 64-year-old Peru national has been arrested for carrying in his baggage 1.3 kg pure cocaine worth Rs.65 crore in the international market, police said on Wednesday. Armando was arrested from the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport on Monday, when he arrived here from Sao Paulo in Brazil via Dubai in the Emirates flight. AFP[/caption] Delhi Police claimed it was the biggest consignment of pure cocaine seized till now. “The drug is estimated worth Rs.65 crore. It was concealed in the cavities of the trolley bag wrapped in four layers of plastic and sliver foil to avoid x-ray detection,” Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ravindra Yadav told IANS. IANS
