Some students in Patna have reportedly set two AC coaches of South Bihar Express on fire following the death of one of their friends by Islampur passenger train while he was crossing the tracks.

Pradesh18 reported that the incident happened at Rajendra Nagar terminal in Patna. When the South Bihar Express departed from Rajendra Nagar terminal, the students halted the train and threw stones at it. Several passengers were injured.
The train was also left stranded for almost two hours.
The police was attacked by the mob as soon as the officials reached the site of the incident, reported India Today. No casualties have been reported. The passengers were deboarded before the coaches were set on fire.
The deceased student has been identified as 22-year-old Shashi.
