New Delhi: A group of parents on Monday approached the police with a complaint against the Ryan International School at Vasant Kunj in New Delhi, alleging that the CCTVs on the school premises were not functioning and the septic tank was also found to be open. The complaint comes in the backdrop of increased concerns about students’ safety in schools, following the killing of a seven-year-old boy in the Ryan International School, Gurugram. “We have received a complaint from a group of parents, in which it has been alleged that the school does not have adequate safety measures for students. So far, no FIR has been lodged,” a senior police official said. The school authorities were not available for a comment. Parents also staged protests outside the branches of the Ryan International School at Gurugram, Delhi and Noida.
