Pakistani troops violated ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday, media reports said.

According to CNN-News18, heavy exchange of fire is currently on between Indian and Pakistani forces. Meanwhile, a gunfight erupted between militants and the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipora district, police said. Reuters[/caption] As soon as the security forces cordoned off Paribal village in Hajin following information about the presence of the militants, they were fired upon, following which the gunfight ensued. “The gunfight in ongoing,” the police added. On Wednesday, Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire along the LoC in the states’ Tangdhar sector , prompting retaliatory fire from the Indian Army in which a Pakistani soldier had reportedly been killed, an official had said. Pakistani troops had resorted to unprovoked firing on Indian posts in Tangdhar sector in Kupwara district, the army official said.
