One injured after portion of staircase caves in near Charni Road station in Mumbai

Mumbai: One person was injured after some portion of skywalk, that was under repairs, near Charni Road station fell on him on Saturday evening, a senior civic official said.

The injured has been admitted to the nearby GT hospital and is out of danger, said the official, adding, the municipal staff has already reached the spot. He said phase wise demolition and reconstruction of the skywalk is being carried out by the Bridge department of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
