The National Testing Body (NTA) that organises the National Eligibility Test, also known as UGC NET or NTA-UGC-NET, will soon release the answer key for the test to determine eligibility for college and university level lecturership. According to The Indian Express the answer key may be released on 31 December, whereas the results might come out on 10 January.
The candidates who have appeared in the examination can get it through the official website, nta.ac.in by logging in using their credentials. This was the first time that the NTA was conducting these exams. The NET was previously held and organised by the Central Board for Secondary Education (CBSE).
The first computer-based test — National Eligibility Test 2018 (UGC-NET) — for the NTA began in October and concluded on Saturday. Over 9.5 lakh students have applied for the test. The examining body installed more than 8,000 CCTV cameras at the exam centres where 25,000 invigilators and a team of observers was also deputed.
Pegged as one of the most secure tests in the country so far, the candidates underwent multiple layers of checks and each entry across 598 centres was monitored in real time at the NTA headquarters through live CCTV cameras. A total of 4,000 jammers were also put in place for the test.
