The CBI is conducting search operations across 22 districts in Uttar Pradesh today in connection with National Rural Health Mission scam .
Thirty CBI teams are conducting raids on health department officials and firms that supply medicines and other material, in over 30 places including Lucknow, Basti and Bahraich.
The CBI has also filed four new FIRs in the case.
On Thursday, Lakhimpur Kheri police claimed to have found a suicide note from the official flat of Pasgawan Community Health Centre clerk Mahendra Sharma, whose decomposed body was found on 15 February.
The note, according to the police, held CMO Dr JP Bhargava, deputy CMO Dr Balbir Singh and other officials, responsible for the suicide.
Earlier in the week, the CBI also questioned BSP MLA Ram Prasad Jaiswal and former family welfare minister Babu Singh Kushwaha, who is accused in the multi-crore scam.
