Even as the Goa Police have summoned Tehelka founder-editor Tarun Tejpal to present himself before investigators today in a sexual assault case, there seems to be more skeletons stumbling out of the closet of the media industry. Harish Bhatia, the CEO of MY FM which is run by the Dainik Bhaskar group, was reportedly charged in a sexual harassment case by a former female employee in 2010, reported The Hindu.
The case came up for hearing at the Mahila court in Saket yesterday. However, it has been adjourned till February. [caption id=“attachment_1251493” align=“alignright” width=“380”]

Bhatia was booked under Sections 354 and 509 of the IPC and was chargesheeted last year. He was arrested but got bail later. According to The Hindu
report, The journalist reportedly went to the National Commission for Women (NCW) in May 2010, saying that Bhatia had been sexually harassing her for more than a year and gave details of one particular incident on May 7 when he “outraged her modesty.” Her complaint to the NCW states that when she threatened to complain “a resignation was sent by deceitful means from her office e-mail address.” The woman is being supported by two other colleagues who, after allegedly encountering similar sexual victimisation and intimidation at the hands of Bhatia, resigned in 2010.
