Jammu: Northern Army Commander Lt Gen DS Hooda on Thursday visited curfew-bound Rajouri district and appealed for peace in the region which had witnessed stone-pelting and arson on Wednesday after communal tension.[caption id=“attachment_1730849” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]  Lt Gen DS Hooda. AFP[/caption] The Army Commander reviewed the security situation in Rajouri and interacted with the civil administration, Defence spokesman of Northern Command said. He appealed to the people to maintain calm and contribute towards restoration of peace in the region, the spokesman said. Lt Gen Hooda assured them of all possible assistance in maintaining normalcy in the region. Curfew was imposed in the border district following incidents of stone-pelting and arson after communal tension.
