No end to frequent crimes against women in India? Teenage girl gang-raped, murdered in UP

Bahraich: A teenage girl was allegedly abducted, gang-raped and murdered in Nanpara area in Bahraich by three persons, police said on Sunday.

Four constables have been suspended for dereliction of duty in this matter.

The incident took place on Friday when a 15-year-old girl went missing from her village and her body was later found outside the village on Saturday, they said.

An FIR has been registered on the complaint of victim's father against Imran, Sarvjeet Yadav and Ghanshyam Maurya for abducting, raping and killing his daughter.

He alleged that the three had tried to abduct his daughter earlier also but could not succeed.

Superintendent of Police, Salik Ram Verma said that the body of victim has been sent for post-mortem and rape would be confirmed only after that.

Police arrested one of the three accused, Sarvejeet Yadav, on Saturday night and a manhunt has been launched to nab other two, who are absconding, he said.
