STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD

The development comes amid diplomatic tensions between India and Canada after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau alleged “potential” involvement of Indian agents in the killing of a Khalistani extremist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, on his country’s soil on 18 June in British Columbia, a charge rejected by New Delhi as “absurd” and “motivated”. The NIA had earlier published a list of 19 wanted Khalistani terrorists who were believed to be living in the UK, US, Canada, Dubai, Pakistan, and other countries. According to reports, citing sources, these terrorists’ properties are likely to be seized. The NIA has already confiscated the properties of designated terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, a member of the banned pro-Khalistani group Sikhs for Justice (SFJ). According to reports, the action against these 19 fugitives will be taken under the anti-terror law UAPA. They have been accused of running anti-India propaganda from abroad.
